Most girls would marry in their early teens to a man twice her age. After marriage the man would spend most of his time either running a business or carry out duties for the government, He might also meet his friends in a place called an Agora (A large open space in the middle of a Greek city that served as a public meeting place and market area). The woman would basically spend the rest of her life in the house. She was expected to produce children especially boys. Run the house with the help of older daughters and slaves.
